Stella Maeve (born in 1961) is an American actor who is best known for the stunning actress in Julia Wicker who appeared on The Magicians. Maeve comes from New York. She is part Blackfoote and Cherokee. The actress was in Liminality the short film from 2005. Her big-screen debut in 2005 with the critically acclaimed drama comedy Transamerica. It was her first appearance on TV in the same year as well as a season four episode of Law & Order Criminal Intent . She joined The Dick Wolf's Chicago franchise in 2014 and was named Nadia Decotis, Chicago P.D. . She portrayed this character from 2011 until 2015 and then reprised it for the role in Law & Order Special Victims Unit that is a different TV series produced by Wolf. In the following year, she was her role as Julia Wicker the lead female in Syfy's fantasy drama show The Magicians. Stella Maeve was a television actor that had success and continued to act in independent movies. She won the Robert Altman award at the 2013 Film Independent Spirit Awards for her part in the drama Starlet that was released in 2012.
